About Fly Exhibition Center
Fly is an urban art experience center located in Jiangyin, China, on the edge of the Yangtze River. The building is arranged around a landscape pool that brings river water into the setting. Cantilevered structures are used, so no column grid is visible from the outside. Two large blocks resemble a pair of wings above the water. The exterior is made of white and gray aluminum panels with beige marble. Turning and interwoven volumes soften the boundary between inner and outer space. A quiet path crosses the water and links the display areas. The center covers 21527 square feet.

- Production Technology
- In this project we used cantilevered structures in the structure, and no column net is seen from the appearance. Looks like a pair of flying wings. The exterior material is made of white and gray aluminum plate with beige marble. Through the turning and interweaving of the body block, the space-sensing air permeability is formed, which weakens the boundary between the inner and outer space, and at the same time creates a different functional space.
- Design Challenge
- Our biggest challenge is the building looks like a pair of flying wings. The cantilever structure is adopted, and no column net is seen from the appearance. The exterior material is made of white and gray aluminum plate with beige marble. Through the turning and interweaving of the body block, the space-sensing air permeability is formed, which weakens the boundary between the inner and outer space, and at the same time creates a different functional space.

- Inspiration
- The project is located at Jiangyin city, the center of the Yangtze River Delta urban economic planning zone.We want to create an urban art experience center. My design inspiration came from flying over the water .It is hoped that it will represent the development and take off of the city in the Yangtze River basin, and lead the Jiangyin citizens to witness the leap of the city.
- Project Duration

- Operation Flow
- We wanted the building to look like it was flying over the water. Two large building blocks were designed, we used cantilevered structures in the structure, and no column net is seen from the appearance. The exterior material is made of white and gray aluminum plate with beige marble. The center of the waterscape is designed with a quiet path that runs through the multi functional display experience area.
