About Lotus Tableware

Lotus is a set of porcelain tableware inspired by the lotus flower bowls of the Changsha kiln. The traditional lotus pattern is abstracted into simple geometric forms and applied to plates of different heights and sizes. When the plates are stacked by size, the lotus pattern appears, so the set becomes a decorative object during storage. The pieces can be separated and recombined for serving as needed. Patterns of auspicious objects from the Tang Dynasty suit different occasions. The porcelain is glazed in celadon green and shaped by hand.
