About City Lente Model House

Located in Tongzilin, Chengdu, a luxury residential district, the project focuses on spatial restraint. It avoids symbolic expressions of luxury and introduces an Invisible Order System. Concealed doors, integrated storage, and linear lighting create a unified spatial framework where order is embedded rather than displayed. The design translates urban structure into clear spatial organization through integrated detailing, forming a consistent and durable living environment.

Unique Properties
Urban Plateau Value Of Tongzilin
The project is located in the core area of Tongzilin, Chengdu, a typical luxury residential enclave and urban high ground.

Invisible Order System Under De Symbolized Luxury
The design avoids symbolic expressions of luxury and introduces an Invisible Order System. Concealed doors, integrated storage, and linear lighting create a continuous and low interference spatial system where order is perceived rather than visually emphasized.
Dimensions & Packaging
City Lente is a residential interior design with an open plan layout. Organized along a north south axis, the space maximizes natural daylight and cross ventilation.
Key features include integrated storage systems, concealed doors, linear lighting, and flexible zoning strategies. Glass partitions and half height walls define spaces while maintaining continuity.

The lighting system uses energy efficient LED sources and indirect illumination to improve comfort and reduce energy consumption. The design emphasizes continuity, low visual interference, and long term stability.

Production Technology
City Lente adopts a systematically integrated design approach. Walls, doors, and storage are unified into a continuous interface to reduce visual fragmentation. Concealed doors are achieved through material continuity and precise detailing, ensuring a cohesive spatial expression.

Lighting uses linear fixtures and indirect illumination to create a soft and evenly distributed environment. Materials include stone, wood veneer, and antique bronze stainless steel, complemented by Italian furniture brands such as Rugiano and Baxter.
The design emphasizes reducing visible elements and enhancing spatial clarity and functional efficiency through system integration.
Design Challenge
The main challenge was redefining luxury within the established context of Tongzilin. The project needed to maintain high end quality while avoiding symbolic and excessive expressions.

Balancing restraint and refinement while ensuring functional completeness required precise control. The integrated interface and concealed systems demanded high construction accuracy.

From a social perspective, expectations of luxury remain visually oriented. The design responds by guiding users toward experiential value. Through systematic design and detailed execution, this transition is achieved.
Research
City Lente is a residential spatial design study exploring new expressions of luxury living in high density urban contexts. Through case analysis, user behavior research, and spatial prototyping, it defines a direction of de symbolized luxury.

Data is based on behavioral observation, material testing, and light environment simulation, involving the design team and target users. The research shows that reducing visual interference and enhancing spatial continuity significantly improves residential comfort.

The project proposes an Invisible Order System that positively influences both spatial design and living experience, offering a new approach for contemporary residential environments.
Inspiration
Minimal Shift From Object To Experience
The design reduces decorative expression within a conventional luxury framework. Minimalism transforms luxury into light, materiality, and spatial atmosphere, establishing a restrained and lasting sense of value.

Invisible Order As Integrated System
Concealed systems and integrated interfaces embed order within the space, reducing visual noise while enhancing functional clarity.
Project Duration
This project began in Shanghai, China in March 2025 and ended in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China in August 2025.
Operation Flow
The space is centered on adaptability. The open plan living, dining, and kitchen areas create a continuous field where multiple uses coexist without fixed partitions. Residents define boundaries through patterns of use.

Concealed storage integrates into surfaces to maintain clarity and order. Linear and indirect lighting provide a soft and stable visual environment with reduced sensory load.

Instead of rigid divisions, the space is guided by variations in materials, scale, and interfaces, creating an intuitive and coherent experience. This adaptability allows the space to respond to diverse living scenarios and align with contemporary lifestyles.
