Afmetings & Verpakking: "Light Up" is an app designed for iOS, tailored to the screen size standards of iOS 14. The design and prototypes were crafted in Figma, focusing on optimal user experience and interface aesthetics. Prioritizing privacy, we carefully managed interactions and map details to respect beneficiary privacy, reflecting our dedication to a secure, respectful platform.
Navorsing: Our research aimed at connecting young donors and NPOs, tackling engagement and transparency issues. Through interviews and testing, we identified the need for a digital solution like "Light Up" to modernize donation processes. Insights from NALAM highlighted outdated methods, pushing us to create a platform enhancing donor engagement with real-time updates. Developing a persona based on young professional donors guided our design, addressing their desires for impactful giving. "Light Up" revitalizes the donation experience, fostering stronger NPO-donor connections and promoting meaningful philanthropy.
Inspirasie: The inspiration for "Light Up" was to connect socially-conscious donors, especially the younger generation, with NPOs needing lasting support. We noted a gap caused by unclear impacts and transparency in donations, despite a strong willingness to help meaningful causes. Our goal was to craft a transparent, trustworthy platform that enhances donor involvement and satisfaction, showing the real impact of donations to encourage ongoing support.
Projekduur: "Light Up" emerged from a San Francisco hackathon in November 2023. After winning first prize with an initial version developed in a day, we deepened our research and collaborated closely with experts to refine the app. Within weeks, we enhanced "Light Up," preparing it for future development.
Bedryfsvloei: "Light Up" launches with vibrant photos, news, and projects, showing donation impacts. Users navigate to an interactive map to explore projects, with details a click away. The chat feature allows direct communication with organizations for updates, enhancing transparency and donor connections.
