Book Text: Zemlja čuda u sokacima je dizajn enterijera stambenog predvorja u Taoyuanu, Tajvan. Prostor od 274 kvadratna metra inspirisan je atmosferom francuskog kafea. Blage i vedre boje kombinovane su s keramičkim pločicama i metalnim detaljima. Drvo, kamen, staklo, keramika i tkanina uravnotežuju oštre i mekane površine. Zasvođeni stakleni plafon u hodniku propušta prirodnu svjetlost i usmjerava pogled naviše, čime se smanjuje efekat niskog plafona. Drveni prozorski kapci stvaraju slojeve, tako da ulazak u svaku zonu djeluje poput šetnje kroz tihe sokake.

Instead of following the common way to open up the spatial perception through materials, the designer creates a much playful and cozy space with the vibrancy of a coffee shop. The use of colors is rather mild but cheerful while decorated with the vividness of ceramic tiles and the luster of metals.

Inspiracija: While entering the lobby, the vaulted glass ceiling in the hallway not only introduces natural light but also expands the visual space. It draws eyes upward and makes the room much airier and spacious, solving the problem of a low ceiling. In addition, the use of windows and glasses make it visually spacious. The brightness of natural light and white walls contributes to a comfortable perception.
