Téknologi Produksi: The model is made of medium density fiberboard, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, polyvinyl chloride. The set is molded and casted with poured plastic (SmoothCast).
Tantangeng Désain: The hardest thing of designing a landmark of a fantasy world is to make it both plausible and impressing.You have to take into consideration the entrenched style and fit in the cultural context.
Panélitiang: During the pre-production research the team collected hundreds of behind-the-scenes photos from The Lord of the Rings and original John Howe sketches. We tried to analyse the architectural style of Middle-Earth and push it a little further.
Inspirasi: For this project the team derived inspiration from J.R.R.Tolkien books and The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. The goal was to create a new architectural set relying on artistic style of John Howe and living up to the highest standards of Weta Workshop.
Wettu Proyék: The project started in April 2020 in Novosibirsk and finished in September 2020, and was made specially for A'Design Award Competition.
