„Journey to Lijiang“ ist eine Illustrationsserie über die chinesische Stadt Lijiang. Als zentrales visuelles Element dient die Figur einer Ziegelkatze, bekannt als Wa Mao. Wa Mao ist ein lokales Kultursymbol und fungiert als Führer durch die Naturlandschaften und die ethnischen Traditionen Lijiangs. Traditionelle kulturelle Symbole werden abstrahiert und in einer modernen visuellen Sprache neu gezeichnet. Die Serie wurde mit Vektorgrafiksoftware gestaltet und mit hochwertiger Drucktechnik produziert. Ziel ist es, das Bewusstsein für die lokale Kultur zu stärken und zu ihrem Schutz beizutragen.
