Design Details
- Unique Properties
- The portable X-ray device captures video, still images,3D imaging while surgery: Smarter:SMART-LINK opens up interactions with surgical robot,73% workflow deduction compared to existing flow. More agile:1st ever highly integrated,all-in-one 3D C-Arm saves OR space, easier to move. More convenient:Oversized opening fit more surgical scenarios. Clearer:Next-gen CMOS detector allows high image quality at low doses. Safer:Stand-alone image console allows remote exposure, greatly reduce radiation damage
- Inspiration
- C-Arm is a must have for the popular Orthopedic robots, while existing-C-Arm doesn’t fit to robots. Workflow: Except 13-step surgical process, robot+existing C-Arm ask an extra 15-step and a technician to finish preoperative preparation, and additional 10-20min surgical time, reduced surgical efficiency and added patients’ anesthesia risk. Large size of existing dual-trolley C-Arm affect surgeons’ work space, surgical result, even surgical safety. Operation room:limited space, densely equipped and staffed.
- Research
- Hundreds of stakeholders were surveyed.Applied in-depth function analysis of competitors,patent layout analysis and protection. C-Arm is a mature market,3D C-Arm sales are very limited.Demand of robotic surgery brought a huge market to 3D C-Arm.Existing C-Arm designed for manual surgery,has huge drawbacks to work with robot: Complex procedures,inefficient,patient anesthesia risk,collision risk,high radiation,big size,low intelligence,poor images+surgical adaptability+visual field,low 3D accuracy
- Challenge
- Advanced product parameters+first-class performance:Next-gen Flat Detector,30cmX30cm large view field,4K imaging. Hyper-converged tech with surgical robot, unique precision imaging strategy,digital-twin reconstruction tech and handheld imaging workflow, doubles efficiency. Leading power control:15kw,far ahead of competitors, allows better resolution+continuous exposure time. Extreme lightweight C-ring allows 40% deduction in scan time,&close to operating table. All-in-one,slim fit easy to transport
- Realization and Technology
- Patented coating:self-healing,anti-virus lasting. Depth camera:Auto-sense patient and robot position,auto-adjust and avoid collision. Efficient, simple, precise Smark-link:optimized workflow, open DICOM and controls to robot. Auto oil injection line-stable&clearer image. Exclusive ALL-in-one:merge C-arm and workstation into a cart, small size+efficient. Split X-ray generator:small+great radiating. Next-gen COMS detector:high-res,fast+large view field. Flexible screen:large view field. Superb 3D algorithm:clearer image
- Operation and Interaction
- Pre-op preparation: Robot(RT) with existing C-Arm S1:Deploy(D) Robotic-arm(R-A) 2:Drape the robot 3:Robot cart Positioning(P) 4:R-A P 5:Install Registration Plate(RP) 6:Adjust(A) R-A position 7:D Electric support 8:D C-Arm 9:AP and lateral position to confirm RP and lesion location 10:A C-Arm and RP 11:C-Arm Re-exposure 12:3D exposure 13:3D reconstruction 14:Image transmission(T) 15:Image registration(R) RT with IC100 S1:Smart P-pose memory+depth camera guidance 2:Scan&R 3:Auto-T 4:A Robot posture+D electric support
- Project Duration and Location
- The project started in March 2021 in Nanjing China and finished in January 2022. The product have entered into mass production and is used in hospitals.
- Specifications
- Width 2218mm x Depth 834mm x Height 1958mm 70% of the materials of IC100 can be recycled, including plastic shell & metal structural parts. IC100 applied up to 25% recycled materials.Recycled and reprocessed cartons and metal fasteners are used for transportation and fixation.
