Design Details

Unique Properties
PowerBeat M Series is a compact, lightweight, reliable, and robust portable semi-automatic external defibrillator. Sized like a smartphone and weighing just 0.7kg, it achieves the same therapeutic effects as traditional-sized AEDs and ensures convenient portability and efficient mobility. It has revolutionized the traditional approach of stationing AEDs fixedly on walls, providing effective emergency assistance to sudden cardiac arrest patients anytime, anywhere.
Inspiration
When sudden cardiac arrest occurs, time is life. The PowerBeat M series aims to transform the use of AEDs to create more chances for revival within the "golden 4 minutes" for patients. To achieve this, the PowerBeat M series is designed to be as portable as a smartphone, enabling efficient mobility of the AED. It shifts the paradigm from "people searching for the AED" to "AED reaching the person", significantly enhancing the efficiency and coverage of AED emergency response.
Research
Stemming from the social proposition of "respecting life and revering nature", it achieves the same therapeutic effects as traditional-sized AEDs while reducing its size through its proprietary Tiny Combine™ technology developed by ViVest. It comprises the M1 Professional version and the M3 General version. Its efficient mobility significantly enhances the efficiency and coverage of AED emergency response.
Challenge
As a professional device, one of the challenges we've faced is how to make it easy to follow for rookies. Workflow-style icons, complemented by striking green and orange hues, are clear and eye-catching. It features intelligent voice guidance, one-touch power on, and one-touch defibrillation functions, making it user-friendly even for non-professionals. The M3 includes a one-touch switch between child and adult modes, cementing its position as an essential emergency device in any first aid kit.
Realization and Technology
The PowerBeat M series, through its proprietary Tiny Combine™ technology developed by ViVest, achieves the same therapeutic effects as traditional-sized AEDs while reducing its size. The application of high-performance, environmentally friendly thermoplastic materials provides excellent impact resistance, heat resistance, and flame retardancy. The device is rated IP65 for dust and water resistance and facilitates recyclability and degradation, promoting ecological balance.
Operation and Interaction
Flexibility: Weighing just 0.7kg and sized like a smartphone, it's suitable for personal carry, home setup, and vehicle transportation. Safety: It employs a 150J low-energy defibrillation, minimizing damage to the patient's myocardium. The continuous VF/VT detection mode provides real-time protection during patient transport. Intelligence: Equipped with a built-in medical-grade communication module, it's possible to centrally manage the device status through a remote data management platform.
Project Duration and Location
The project finished in September 2023 in China and will launch in October 2025 in Europe.
Specifications
Size: 53±3mm(H)*86±3mm(W)*150±3mm (L) Weight: just 0.7 kg The compact design makes the AED more lightweight and petite, reducing its weight by 2/3 and its volume by 3/4 compared to traditional AEDs, akin to the portability of a smartphone.
Keywords
Semi-automatic external defibrillator, lightweight and portable, efficient mobility, effective emergency assistance, easy to recognize and operate, low-energy defibrillation, central management, durable, environmentally friendly.
