Το Xiang είναι ένας εσωτερικός χώρος κινέζικου εστιατορίου που δημιουργήθηκε μέσα σε ένα παλιό σπίτι στο κέντρο του Ταϊνάν, στην Ταϊβάν. Ο σχεδιασμός εμπνέεται από το σαλόνι, μια ιστορική μορφή συγκέντρωσης όπου οι επισκέπτες συναντιούνται, συζητούν και χαλαρώνουν. Η αρχική δομή διατηρείται και ενώνεται με μια νέα, διαγώνια κομμένη κτιριακή μορφή. Το κινέζικο κόκκινο τούβλο, οι τοίχοι σε πράσινο Morandi και τα εξατομικευμένα σιδερένια στοιχεία σε χρυσό της άμμου ανταποκρίνονται στα πιάτα Hunan που σερβίρονται. Το εμφανές μπετόν και το ακρυλικό με ευθεία υφή προσθέτουν έναν μοντέρνο τόνο. Ένα μεγάλο παράθυρο από το δάπεδο έως την οροφή αποκαλύπτει τη ζεστή ατμόσφαιρα του φαγητού στους περαστικούς.

- This building was originally an old house, located in the center of the city, filled with traces of years of scouring both inside and outside. - The original structure of the old house with very limited width and high, located in a small neighborhood in the center of the city. The space inside was so narrow for dividing the rooms for the Chinese cuisine in the three districts to fit in the 8-10 people dining round table and dining area for 2-4 people, plus a big room for 12 people. And outside the access to the building is difficult.
The timeline is also a big challenge as we had only 2 months from designing to complete the entire construction. - Έρευνα
- "Xiang" is a province of China - also known as Hunan. The local dishes are famous for their rich and spicy taste, rigorous production and outstanding taste. Hunan cuisine is one of the eight major cuisines in China, regarded as one of the representatives of Chinese cuisine overseas.

- Taking the base of an old house structure, planned a large front area box location with custom lighting and imported tile desktop. Thru the large floor-to-ceiling glass window to convey the pleasant and warm dining atmosphere, to express a strong impression to the passing people stay in sight. Inside, the combination of Chinese red brick, morandi green wall and custom gold iron decoration perfectly responds to the Xiang dishes the restaurant serves, and brings the people back to the old times.
