El edificio evita intencionalmente el estilo arquitectónico vernáculo y aplica materiales y estructura modernos. Una gran cubierta flotante unifica los espacios formales e informales de manera simple, como un paraguas gigante abierto. Para lograr la sensación de flotación y ligereza, la gran cubierta de acero no solo necesita superar los grandes voladizos y luces, sino también mantener los elementos lo más esbeltos posible. Con varias innovaciones estructurales, se forma una estructura híbrida que imita los voladizos de un paraguas.

- The building intentionally avoids the vernacular architectural style, and applies modern materials and structure. A big floating roof unifies the formal and informal spaces in a simple way, like a giant open umbrella.
In order to achieve the floating and light feeling, the big steel roof not only needs to overcome the large cantilevers and spans, but also needs to keep member as slender as possible. With several structural innovations, a hybrid structure mimics umbrella cantilevers are formed. - Dimensiones y Embalaje

- In order to realise the sense of floating of the big black roof, the building is structurally innovative. The roof, as an overall stress system, not only has to overcome the difficulties of large overhangs and spans, but also has to make each rod as slim as possible to maximise the sense of lightness and composition of the rod structure.
- Investigación
- Based on the Grasshopper plugin extension tool on the Rhino platform, Karamba3D force analysis and form finding technology were used to explore the tools and paths suitable for architects to carry out structural form design in the scheme stage, and successfully completed the structural form design of asymmetric complex roof shapes.
- Inspiración
- In traditional Chinese housing, the main hall called ‘Ting Tang’ is the most important family space for public activities. It usually has a formal architectural gesture, with tall, dark and semi open space.
Inspired by this, the village center is considered as the ‘main hall’ for the whole village. Besides a multifunction hall for formal public activities, the building also provides lots of open spaces to encourage social interaction between villagers and tourists. - Duración del Proyecto
