Hyllyn ympärille on sijoitettu parveke, taso, työhuone, katselualue, liikunta-alue, perhegalleria ja baari, jotka yhdistyvät yhdeksi yhtenäiseksi tilaksi. Kirjahylly rakennettiin paikan päällä puuseppien toimesta. Suuret puu- ja metallikehyksiset lasiovet liukuvat palkkiin kiinnitetyillä tukevilla väkipyöräkiskoilla. Metallitangot ja koukut mahdollistavat asukkaille taideteosten siirtämisen.
