À propos de Maestoso Hôtel
Maestoso est un hôtel né de la rénovation d'un bâtiment existant datant des années 1970. Le projet propose une approche durable de la requalification d'anciens établissements hôteliers en quête d'un nouveau caractère et d'équipements renouvelés. L'élément principal est la structure de façade, qui soutient les balcons ajoutés et fond l'apparence du bâtiment dans le paysage environnant. Cette façade a été modélisée de manière paramétrique et réalisée à partir de poutres en bois façonnées par fraisage à commande numérique (CNC). À l'intérieur, les murs ont été brossés afin de révéler la structure en béton brut, tandis que le mobilier en bois et en métal apporte une touche de chaleur.

- Propriétés Uniques
- The Maestoso hotel is a renovation of an existing 1970s building. The project proposes a new and sustainable way of renovating old hotel buildings, which are in need of a new character and new facilities. The main feature of the design is the façade structure, which on one hand, serves as supporting structure for the added balconies, while on the other hand, it blends the buildings appearance with the surrounding landscape.

- Technologie de Production
- The realization of the project required a completely three dimensional approach to the structure as well as the interior organization of the space. The façade was parametrically modeled and produced with CNC milling out of wooden beams. On the inside, the walls were brushed and cleaned to reveal the rough concrete structure. Furnishing made of wood and metal was inserted to add additional warmth to the interior space.
- Inspiration
- The main inspiration for the design can be found in the traditional white fence that surrounds the pastures of the white Lipizzaner horses. The fences are a recognizable regional motif that is carried onto the building envelope, creating a bond between the large hotel volume and the local landscape. The intent of the project was to propose a sustainable approach to hotel renovation, where instead of demolishing an old building, we propose a repurposing and expansion of the existing structure.

- The project started in 2018 and was constructed in July 2021 in Lipica, Slovenia.
