The casing is flat and angled to your face. In fact, it is much thicker at the 12 oclock side of the watch. This has the effect of positioning the watch face at such an angle that allows the wearer to look at the time without needing to turn the wrist.

Due to the crowns novel position, the watch can be worn on the left or right wrist, and you can read the time without needing to turn your wrist while your hands are on the steering wheel, on the desk during a business meeting or rendezvous, or working hard with tools.
