Sobre Fairies Pendentes Cinéticos

Fairies é un par de pendentes cinéticos inspirados na dualidade do día e da noite. O dúo asimétrico inclúe a Fada do Día, feita en ouro branco con flores de diamantes e un corazón de esmeralda oculto, e a Fada da Noite, feita en ouro ennegrecido cun corazón de rubí, estrelas de diamantes e unha lúa crecente. Ambas as figuras teñen pernas móbiles e rostros individuais. Prototipouse un modelo 3D en cera e fundiuse en ouro, para logo rematalo á man e pulilo. Engastáronse un total de 403 pedras preciosas antes de unir as pezas. O par mantense lixeiro e cómodo de levar.

Propiedades Únicas: These earrings are an asymmetric duo. Moreover, there are two hidden secrets designed specifically for these earrings. One white gold earring is depicted as a Fairy of the Day, her dress adorned with diamond flowers and an Emerald Heart within. The other earring, Fairy of the Night, is depicted in black gold: her Ruby Heart is in the light of white diamond stars and the crescent moon.
Dimensións e Embalaxe: The pair of Fairies Earrings is made in white & blackened gold (18ct), 11.78cts white diamonds, 0.05ct emeralds, 0.04ct rubies

Tecnoloxía de Produción: Developed in the 3D Matrix program for the jewellery industry based on the Rhinoceros program, a 3D model was created. After the fairies were grown by prototyping on a 3D printer from wax, the cast was made in gold. They were processed by hand and polished with jewellery threads, for the perfect shine of the gems and showing their cut, clarity and colour. After that, 403 precious stones were fixed into the base product and only then the parts were connected into the final figurines.
Reto de Deseño: The number one challenge is to combine the design of the piece with its technical side while maintaining it lightweight, wearable and ergonomic.
Investigación: Traditionally, jewellers have created static pieces for thousands of years. By adding movement to the jewellery I allow our pieces to come alive, inspired by the beauty of magic and nature. As a jeweller, my concept is to find ways to introduce kinetic effects and hidden secrets that are a unique joy to own.
Inspiración: This project was inspired by the duality of Day and Night and my sincere belief that all women have something magical about them, just like Fairies. Asymmetric and contrasting, yet with their secrets alike, this duality demonstrates how different and similarly spectacular women can be any time of the day. No matter the appearance or skin tone, age or beliefs, all of us are mesmerising Fairies, gifting our magic to the dearest ones when our hearts are filled with love.
Duración do Proxecto: The project started in January 2020 in London and finished in January 2021 in London. The overall process of production, improvements and quality check took about one year. These earrings have never been exhibited before.
