Roentgen નાઇટસ્ટેન્ડ વિશે
રોએન્ટજેન એ બેડરૂમ માટે ડિઝાઇન કરવામાં આવેલ નાઇટસ્ટેન્ડ છે. રોએન્ટજેન ઘન લાકડામાંથી બનાવવામાં આવ્યું છે અને તેમાં દેખાતા તથા છુપાયેલા એમ બે સેટ ડ્રોઅર્સ છે. જ્યારે એક ખોટા તળિયાવાળા ડ્રોઅરને બહાર ખેંચીને ફેરવવામાં આવે છે, ત્યારે પાંચ છુપાયેલા નાના ડ્રોઅર્સ દેખાય છે. બે દેખાતા નાના ડ્રોઅર્સ અને એક મોટું ડ્રોઅર પણ આપવામાં આવ્યું છે, જેમાં ઇલેક્ટ્રોનિક ઉપકરણો માટે બિલ્ટ-ઇન ચાર્જિંગ પોઈન્ટ્સ છે. ઉપરના એક ખૂણામાં વાયરલેસ ચાર્જર ગોઠવવામાં આવ્યું છે. પુશ-ટુ-ઓપન ફિટિંગ્સ અને મેટલ રનર્સનો ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવ્યો છે. આ ડિઝાઇન ૧૮મી સદીના યાંત્રિક ફર્નિચરનો સંદર્ભ આપે છે, જેમાં ગુપ્ત ખાનાઓ હતા.

- Roentgen nightstand involves the owner in the process of unlatching and expanding it outward into the room, a sequence of new spatial conditions that offers additional useful storage space and protection for personal belongings. It has a set of hidden drawers that can be accessed by pulling outward visible section of drawers and turning it left/right (according to configuration). The design is simple and can be performed in a wide range of color and material combinations.

- The challenge was to integrate the idea of having a secret set of drawers in the modern nightstand, but at the same time not to create a massive piece of furniture as it was in the 18th century, and to make a construction stable when it expands outward.

- The project is a result of research on works of 18th century cabinetmakers adapted in terms of current trends and needs in the field of furniture production, technologies, and design.

- The inspiration came from the works of David Roentgen, German cabinetmaker whose design innovation in the creation of ingenious pieces of mechanical furniture with secret drawers and compartments operated by hidden springs and levers made him renowned throughout the ruling houses of 18th century Europe.

- The concept was developed and visualized in January 2020 in Miami.
- ઓપરેશન ફ્લો
- The nightstand has 2 sets of drawers - visible and hidden. If a fake bottom drawer is pulled outward, the hidden set of drawers will appear. Thus, it has 1 large drawer with built in recharges for electronic devices, 2 visible small drawers, and 5 hidden small drawers. So, personal belongings can be stored out of sight, keeping the home tidy and organized. All the drawers are lined and the quality metal runners ensure they run smoothly. There is a wireless charger in the upper right/left corner (according to configuration).
