Medically, if the density is too high, it can harm the surrounding tissue while killing bacteria, making it critical to achieve the right concentration. To address this, we integrated two key modules: one for purifying water before it enters the hydrogen peroxide generator, and another to regulate the peroxide's concentration. Managing battery efficiency and functionality was another challenge.
Kev Tshawb Fawb: Our research on Aquaventure aimed to harness hydrogen peroxide generation technology for portable outdoor wound care. We interviewed motorcycle riders, campers, first responders, and emergency personnel, discovering that many lack essential first aid supplies. This insight drove us to create a device that generates a wound cleaning solution from accessible water sources. By integrating silver ion technology for water purification, AquaVenture ensures safe hydrogen peroxide production, addressing the critical need for immediate first aid in remote and emergency situations.
Kev Txhawb Siab: The inspiration for Aquaventure stemmed from the powerful yet simple benefits of hydrogen peroxide in wound care. Recognizing its effectiveness in cleaning wounds but the challenge of transporting and storing it in outdoor or emergency scenarios, we sought to create a device that generates hydrogen peroxide on-demand. By harnessing this capability, AquaVenture provides a reliable and immediate solution, ensuring adventurers and first responders have access to sterilization whenever and wherever it's needed.
