O dizajnu Crowd Gathering of Dots Umjetnička instalacija

Skupljanje točaka u gomilu je umjetnička instalacija stvorena za predvorje hotela u Tainanu, na Tajvanu. Djelo prekriva površinu od 100 četvornih metara. Ručno izrađene keramičke kugle raspoređene su po zidu kako bi dočarale tok i prostornu napetost okupljene gomile. Svaka kugla završena je sjajnom crnom glazurom koja odražava lik svakog posjetitelja. Budući da su kugle oblikovane rukom, svaka se od njih neznatno razlikuje. Brončana i zlatna postolja drže kugle na mjestu, dok projekcija svjetla stvara promjenjive trodimenzionalne sjene.

Jedinstvena svojstva: This work aims to express the flow and spatial tension between the cells of the group, using the black glazed cells on the handmade ceramic spheres to translate the difference, but different tourists who come to the hotel for the warmth of their stay. With the handmade made bronze and gold delicate feet holding up the ceramic sphere, the light projection presents a rich and three dimensional light and shadow changes.

Dizajnerski izazov: As we are also interior designers and relative experience in dealing with this art installation on marble walls, we understand its rigidity and the fixation mechanism behind the walls. We were able to design a point-to-point space, while at the same time presenting our ideal image of the visitor.
Istraživanje: Lake Shore Hotel is located in Tainan, a friendly city with a rich history, heritage and culture. We choose to make the ceramic balls by hand, because handmade, so every point is different and organic. Because it is made by hand, the production outcome is with its own characters. The surface is covered with a glossy black glaze, reflecting each visitor own look.
Inspiracija: A journey is a rhythm of life, which to some extent must be suspended from the reality of life, just like a migrating bird that changes with the seasons.
A hotel is the stopping place of the trip, just like the warm south where the migrating bird resides. Lake Shore Hotel in Tainan, where the local customs are friendly and mild, is the station that makes travelers feel a sense of belonging.
Trajanje projekta: Finished in 2019 in Lake Shore Hotel, Tainan City, Taiwan.
Tijek rada: By pre-planning the walls, we are able to control the layout of the whole picture and the right proportion of the units. To control the ceramics balls producing in the same shape and glaze color, but this is also a fascinating aspect of handcraft.
