O dizajnu The Dawn Rezidencija

Dawn je rezidencija u gradu Hualien na Tajvanu, zamišljena kao dom za umirovljenike. Kuća se prostire na 150 četvornih metara i završena je u lipnju 2022. godine. Vanjski izgled je pojednostavljen, a glavno pročelje naglašeno je dvjema zakrivljenim linijama. Zakrivljena vanjska ovojnica zgrade proteže se od dna do vrha, čime je unutrašnjost povezana s okolinom, ali istovremeno zaštićena od ljetne vrućine. Lift omogućuje pristup svakom katu bez prepreka. Klizna vrata i rotirajući paneli omogućuju fleksibilnu upotrebu prostora. Kupaonica na najvišem katu okrenuta je prema vanjskom prozoru s pogledom na Hualien.

Jedinstvena svojstva: As far as the exterior is concerned, the building’s appearance is simplified, demonstrating a sculpture like artwork towering over the base. The face of the main building is outlined through two curved lines. Besides, the solid construction is covered little by little and unfolded by the softly curved surface, just like a calla blooming quietly from the street block. Over the top furnishings have been abandoned to create abundant storage space.

Proizvodna tehnologija: From bottom to top, the building skin is slowly stretched, which makes the indoor area and the outdoor surroundings connected yet separated. Therefore, it has effectively eliminated the heat energy brought by the sun during summertime.
Dizajnerski izazov: The project adopts a minimalist design style from the exterior of the building to the interior of the space, focusing on the daily functional needs as the main focus of the planning. As a result, the designer significantly reduces the unnecessary purchase of furniture and eliminates superfluous decorations. The designer's initiative has greatly avoided the waste of resources and created a sustainable and friendly house.
Istraživanje: On top of that, the bathroom is planned at the external window on the top floor, so the beautiful scenery of Hualien is brought into the room, offering the clients a soothing and comfortable bath experience. In addition, due to the reduction of the living area caused by this equipment, the designer has skillfully selected adjustable features such as sliding doors and revolving door panels to endow the space with variable usability.
Inspiracija: This project is a residential space in the old district of Hualien City, Taiwan, which is the owner's and his wife's retirement home. Given the cramped and narrow space of the original residence, it is expected that the needs such as abundant light and spaciousness can be incorporated into the new home to create a comfortable and enjoyable living space. The designer has completed the entire planning with a simple yet resourceful strategy.
Trajanje projekta: The project was completed in Hualien City in June 2022.
Tijek rada: When the night comes, the warm yellow light from the room reflects like a flute-shaped glass containing champagne, diffuses an elegant luster in the dimly lit neighborhood, and welcomes visiting relatives and friends to gather for a drink. Considering the owner's needs for barrier-free facilities, an elevator that can access each floor is installed inside the house.
