About Formation 01 Rubinetto da bagno
Formation 01 è un rubinetto da bagno in edizione limitata. Il design unisce una forma scultorea a un'ingegneria avanzata ed è realizzato in Neolast, un materiale composito che consente texture inaspettate e colori ricchi e saturi. Angoli decisi e un'audace finitura Haptic Orange si discostano dalle aspettative tradizionali legate a un rubinetto. Un condotto idraulico interno realizzato in stampa 3D genera un flusso d'acqua a lama. Una placca di copertura in ghisa goffrata richiama una lunga storia di innovazione dei materiali. Il rubinetto misura 300 mm di larghezza, 207 mm di profondità e 135 mm di altezza.

The Kohler x SR_A collaboration embraces Samuel’s avant-garde artistic approach while honoring Kohler’s 150-year legacy of innovation and craftsmanship in the development of a new design language for water solutions. - To realize Samuel Ross’ creative vision, Kohler invited him to explore an advanced new composite material that offers boundless form, unexpected texture, and rich, saturated colors. A 3D-printed internal waterway was developed to accomplish the unique sheet flow effect. An embossed cast iron escutcheon plate celebrates our collaboration in an homage to Kohler’s history of material innovation.
- Inspiration
- Combining dynamic gesture with advanced engineering, Formation 01 takes a familiar object and reimagines it as a functional sculpture in Kohler's dynamic Neolast composite material.
- Project Duration
- This project was initiated in late 2022 with collaboration between Kohler and SR_A's studios in the US and UK, respectively. The project launched at Design:Miami in 2023.
