More About Hsr048/Hsr050/Hsr060 Industrial Robot
HSR048, HSR050 and HSR060 are horizontal multi-joint industrial robots, also known as Scara robots. Each robot holds a hand at the arm tip, so the machine can be adapted to many tasks and supports automation and labor saving in production plants. The arms extend from a stable base and become slimmer toward the tip, which lowers weight and inertia and allows stable high-speed motion. The organic form recalls the human body and makes fast movement less intimidating for workers on the production line. The compact body helps reduce the size of the equipment.
Award Record
With this recognition, Naotake Hiraga is a winner of 2 A' Design Awards. The awards span the editions from 2018 - 2019 to 2019 - 2020 of the A' Design Award & Competition.
About the A' Robotics, Automaton and Automation Design Award
The A' Robotics Design Award is an international robotics design competition recognizing good robotics designs by robotics designers and engineers worldwide. The competition is organized within the A' Design Award & Competition and is open to robotics designers, automation engineers, robotics brands and robot manufacturers from all countries. Entries typically include industrial robots, medical robots, agricultural robots, domestic robots, autonomous vehicles and humanoid robots. Awarded robotics designs are published at https://desingers.org/design-category/robotics
About A' Design Award & Competition
A' Design Award & Competition is an international, juried design accolade organized annually since 2008. The competition is open to entries from all countries. The A' Design Award has a philanthropic mission to advance society through good design by recognizing and promoting superior products, projects and services that benefit society, and by creating a global awareness and appreciation for good design practices and principles. Entries are peer reviewed and anonymously evaluated by an international grand jury panel of established academics, design professionals and press members against predetermined criteria such as functionality, ergonomics, engineering, presentation, innovation, usability, sustainability and technology, with score normalization applied to remove biases. Awards are conferred at Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Iron levels. The A' Design Prize granted to eligible laureates includes the award trophy, the certificate of design excellence, the hardcover yearbook, a lifetime license to use the A' Design Award winner logo, exhibition of awarded works, an invitation to the gala night and award ceremony in Italy, inclusion in the World Design Rankings and Designer Rankings, and public relations and publicity services. Registration, the upload of a work and the preliminary score are free of charge, and Professional and Digital Edition laureates are not contractually obliged to pay further fees to claim the A' Design Prize. Design Details
- Unique Properties
- These are horizontal, multi-joint industrial robots (SCARA robots) with hands mounted on their tips to adapt flexibly to a variety of work. These robots contribute to automation and labor saving in production plants. These are new SCARA robot series models developed by DENSO Wave. They provide top-of-class performance levels in compact body sizes and contribute to reduced equipment size.
- Inspiration
- Conceived from the structure of the human body, "tension" and "contraction" provide its external form. The lifelike soft exterior removes the sense of intimidation during high-speed movement.
- Research
- We researched most of SCARA robots in the world through internet and world wide robot exhibitions. Then we realized that we have to change every legacy structure to make robot faster.
- Challenge
- The aim was to create the fastest SCARA robot. Initially, however, the expectations of the designer were only to renovate the appearance of the predecessor. I felt that the previous model's structure did not embody the fastest spec, so I proposed an ideal form of the SCARA robot including a renovation of the whole structure first.
- Realization and Technology
- Since we thought that the influence of inertia could be suppressed by reducing the weight of the tip, we adopted an arm that was powerfully extended from a stable base and became more delicate toward the tip. As a result, stable high-speed operation and design innovation were realized. In addition, the entire product was constructed with an organic design that resembles the human body so that high-speed operation does not give a sense of intimidation or anxiety to workers working on the production line.
- Operation and Interaction
- This product is settled in a factory, and programed their jobs and works for whole day.
- Project Duration and Location
- This project is started from 2014. The robot is already on sale and still produced.
- Specifications
- Arm length (1st arm + 2nd arm) 480mm (205mm + 275mm), 550mm (275mm + 275mm), 650mm (375mm + 275mm), maximum payload: 8kg, body weight: 33kg, body height: 488mm (excluding shaft height) , Maximum synthesis speed: 7540mm / s, 8000mm / s, 8850mm / s, Variation: Cleanliness: ISO class 3, Dust and drip-proof performance: IP65
