Mai 12 Collection シルバージュエリーについて

Mai 12コレクションは、バングルとリングで構成されるシルバージュエリーのセットである。デザインの着想源は、正方形の構造体の角を段状に削り込むタイの伝統建築の意匠「マイ・シップソン（Mai 12）」と呼ばれる十二の入隅にある。本コレクションは、角を削り込んだ仏塔（ストゥーパ）の形状を再解釈し、形をねじり、角の位置をずらすことで立体感を生み出している。表面にはグラジャン文様を施し、作品に現代的な性格を与えている。製作はコンピュータ支援設計・製造技術を用い、シルバーによって行われている。

リサーチ: Indented corners are a feature of traditional Thai architecture where the corners of a rectangular structure are broken up into multiple recessed corners. The most common form features three angles at each of the structure's four corners, and is referred to as twelve indented corners, or Mai12. The form is featured extensively in the religious architecture of the late Ayutthaya period, and can be found in stupas (chedi), building columns, and the tiered spires of the prasat architectural form
インスピレーション: Mai 12 Collection is inspired by the twelve indented corners (Mai 12: Thai word), which is the design of the Thai architectural style.
The twelve indented corners were used in the design of this collection. Re-design of form and shape, add delicacy by twisting the shape and creating dimension by shifting the 12-corners indented stupa. And adding a grajang pattern to decorate and design pieces to be a more contemporary shape.
