By means of the questionnaire for and telephone interview with university users, we have studied and determined these users’ demands, concerns and expectations for the map, and found that these users are demanding for more details in local environment.

- Map information has many complex attributes user groups have various requirements on map based on diverse scenarios, resulting in high target search costs. With highly target-oriented thematic maps, combined with the characteristics and habits of specific user groups and designed according to the understanding of the environment, current affairs and user stratification, we can provide users with more convenient travel services.
