- This residence was designed to express respect for inherited values while creating new meaning. A mixed structural system of reinforced concrete and timber construction was adopted to achieve both stability and spatial openness. Materials reflecting Eastern and Western sensibilities were selected to shape the interior atmosphere. A dedicated space for welcoming overseas guests was planned as a distinct spatial layer within the residence.

A pine tree at the center of the garden became a reference for building placement, guiding the careful integration of a new residence within the inherited context.
