Froggie 탁상 조명 소개

프로기(Froggie)는 육지와 물을 오가며 살아가는 양서류의 이중 생활에서 영감을 받은 탁상 조명이다. 이 디자인은 개구리가 수면 위로 떠오르는 순간을 포착한다. 프로기의 두 눈은 두 개의 광원 역할을 하며, 수면 위로 드러난 몸통은 받침대를 이룬다. 두 눈은 모두 구부릴 수 있어 눈의 형태를 다양한 위치로 조절하여 서로 다른 조명 효과를 연출할 수 있다. 각 콧구멍에는 터치 센서 버튼이 배치되어 있어 두 개의 조명을 각각 따로 켜고 끌 수 있다. 프로기는 유쾌한 디자인의 원천으로서 생체모방(바이오미미크리)을 탐구한다.

고유 특성: Froggie is a desk lamp project that inspires playful creativity. It captures the very moment when a frog rises above water. The eyes are represented as lighting sources, and the exposed body above water as a base.

생산 기술: Froggie's eyes are made to be bendable. Each nostril is equipped with a touch sensor button where users can turn on and off each light.
디자인 과제: The most challenging part was to figure out proper representations for each design element, for example, how big its eyes should be proportional to the body, and how much its body should be shown, compared to the rest of its submerged part.
연구: Froggie is to explore biomimicry in design. It attempts to translate "double life" of Amphibians into lighting design language.
영감: Froggie was inspired by "double life" of amphibians between land and water. Frogs have the permeable skin, which allows them to breathe through the skin in water. They also breathe through the nostrils above the water surface or on land.
프로젝트 기간: The project began in January 2021 and finished in January 2021 in Banff, Canada.
