아로에이라(Aroeira)는 포르투갈의 주말 및 휴가용 주택으로 설계된 가족 주택입니다. 소나무 숲과 해변 풍경 속에 자리한 이 주택의 디자인은 일상에 편안함을 선사합니다. 넓은 유리창은 외부와의 끊임없는 교감을 만들어내고 풍부한 자연광을 실내로 들입니다. 공간 구성은 네 개의 스위트룸, 메자닌 서재, 거실, 다이닝룸, 게임룸, 주방으로 이루어져 있습니다. 모든 마감재와 가구는 포르투갈 목공 기술로 맞춤 제작되었습니다. 벽난로 벽면과 층고 전체를 활용한 수납장은 건축 구조에 일체형으로 통합되어 있습니다.

고유 특성: The Atelier designed a family home that works as a weekend and vacation home, with four suites (for the couple, son, guests, and mother), office, living, dining room, and mezzanine. Some striking features of this house are the several social spaces and constant contact with the outside through large-scaled glass windows, which promote extensive natural light. They were responsible for defining and choosing all the finishes and coating materials (including all the bathrooms). They designed structural pieces such as the fireplace wall and double ceiling height cabinets integrated into the architecture and styled all rooms.
치수 및 패키징: Aroeira is a three-floor house, where they designed the ground and top floors. The ground floor is 215.09 m2, divided into several spaces: the entry hall (10.71 m2), living room (55.48 m2), game room (23.40 m2), dining room (19.44 m2). The top floor is 143.78 m2 and is divided into a mezzanine/office (30.89 m2). On its left, there is the master suite (49.18 m2). On its right, there is the mother-in-law suite (25.47 m2). There is also the child's suite (38.24 m2).

생산 기술: The whole project was custom-made, as it is usual practice in the Atelier.
They developed 3D renders and floor plans throughout this home's design to best support their ideas and showed their client what their interior design project would resemble. Concerning furniture, all of the pieces were designed by the Atelier and manufactured with Portuguese carpentry. Taking advantage of contemporary architecture characteristics, they extended these moderns lines towards the furniture pieces.
디자인 과제: During this project, the Atelier had to overcome several challenges to achieve the result the clients looked for. For example, the double ceiling height in the living room and the size of the place were a challenge since they needed to create a cozy space. As a result, they designed furniture that was larger than standard and built visually appealing elements to fill the room, such as the fireplace wall.
연구: They designed this house according to the clients' taste, who appreciated the mix of the contemporary with rustic styles, with a sophistication flare.
The beauty of the surrounding of this house struck the Atelier. Therefore, they wanted to create spaces that integrated this forest and beach mix and turned them into relaxing spaces that allowed the clients to enjoy nature at its best. Other factors they took into considerations were these clients' trips and the places where they lived before. Hence the Atelier research African-inspired pieces and incorporated the ones the clients already had.
영감: Among outstanding pine forest and beachy landscape surroundings was Ana Rita Soares - Interior Design Atelier starting point to develop a family home that provided the necessary sophistication to guide the daily grind activities with a sense of relaxation, typical of a holiday home. Another inspiration was the client's trips to Africa. The Atelier incorporated several pieces from the client's collection and mixed them with natural wood elements to bring the ethnic style that resonated with their preferences.
프로젝트 기간: This project started during the house construction in 2018, and they finished it in 2021. The house location is in Aroeira, Portugal.
운영 흐름: They wanted it to keep the rooms welcoming. When coming into the house, there is the entry hall with a sculptured lamp. The ground floor has the guest apartment, a social bathroom, a game room, a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen. While moving upstairs, the Atelier used the staircase to showcase art pieces. On the upper floor, there is a mezzanine/office space facing the living room. Looking left, the master suite, and, on the right, the mother-in-law's suite and the child's bedroom.
