Ripples 자재 쇼룸 소개

리플스(Ripples)는 대만 타이중시에 위치한 60.5제곱미터 규모의 자재 쇼룸이다. 기존 사무 공간을 개방형 쇼룸으로 개조하여 고객 미팅을 위한 공유 업무 공간으로도 활용할 수 있도록 했다. 천장의 두 개의 볼록한 형태가 디자인의 출발점이 되었다. 8밀리미터 두께로 얇게 재단한 시스템 목재 마감재를 구부려 곡선과 접힘선을 만들어냈으며, 이는 천장에서 벽면까지 이어진다. 총 200종의 제품이 전시되어 있어 방문객이 실제 질감을 직접 보고 만져볼 수 있다. 모듈형 자재는 다른 도시에서도 동일하게 복제하고 조립할 수 있다.

고유 특성: Being rich in details and textures, the ultimate craftsmanship is integrated into the emotions of contemporary time and organized around aesthetics and innovative concepts to create an exclusive and unique materials showroom while realizing the concept of design and future life.

생산 기술: Overcoming the vertical and horizontal quality of systematic wood decor, we use processing, cutting, and bending in order to fulfill the design of curves and fold lines and apply it to the wall and the ceiling in the space.
디자인 과제: Systematic design can be duplicated and reproduced in large numbers and in different places. All the building materials of this shared workspace can be copied and assembled in other cities to achieve modulization.
연구: We redesign the office space into an open materials showroom where it can be used when a customer meeting is required and to create a shared workspace experience. By exploring characteristics of materials through senses, discovering wonders in creativity, and realizing the possibilities in the process of design in full, we expect to fulfill the meticulous and intuitive practicality of everyday life and see people as the essence of the space.
영감: Using two convex shapes on the ceiling as the starting point, the 8mm systematic wood decor is thinly cut and bent to achieve curves and fold line design and then extends to the walls, which cleverly explores the possibility of system wooden decor, redefine and break away from the norm. The spirit of craftsmanship and the design ideas are realized in the space where a full and abundant texture is shown freely in a unique way.
프로젝트 기간: The project started in December 2020 and finished in March 2021 in Taichung City, Taiwan.
운영 흐름: Calculating the ratio of wood decor and plan the traffic of the space with the display of the owner’s 200 products in the showroom, we let users directly experience and feel the real proportion of the products, veins, textures, and effect in order to fulfill the end result of feeling the materials in the first hand.
