River 화병 소개

리버(River)는 핀란드 수오넨요키의 푸른 강에서 영감을 받은 입으로 불어 만든 유리 화병이다. 높이 22센티미터의 이 용기는 단순한 타원형 형태를 지닌다. 모든 작품은 핀란드의 공방에서 손으로 형태를 잡아 제작되기 때문에, 유리 층 안에서 흐르는 색의 흐름은 각각 고유하다. 색은 흐르는 물처럼 표면을 가로질러 움직인다. 바닥면의 작은 소다 기포들은 빛과 반응한다. 모든 화병에는 손으로 서명이 새겨진다. 이 디자인은 고요한 스칸디나비아적 형태와 핀란드의 유리 공예 기법을 결합해, 시대를 초월하고 내구성 있는 일상의 오브제를 만들어낸다.

디자인 과제: The challenge of the design is to create movement of river in a way that it flows beautifully with the simplified oval shape. Every vessel of the collection is unique. Therefore all the pieces created must have the same soul, but the unique charisma.
연구: The River vase aims to capture the essence of flowing water with the means of mouth blown glass. The impression is desired to be flowing, free yet harmonious. The contrasts in nature are the main research viewpoint of the collection.
영감: River vase is inspired by a blue river located in Suonenjoki Finland. The collection plays with the elegance of the movement of liquid glass that is frozen into a stasis that is fragile yet forever. The rhythm of the glass making process ensures that every vessel has unique splashes of color that mimic the dance of flowing rivee water. Every vase has their own breath. Its a methaphor for a soul of a piece that makes it more than mere interior object.
