웨이트 로스 마스터 프로(Weight Loss Master Pro)는 일상적인 비즈니스 통근과 출장을 위해 디자인된 백팩이다. 외피와 안감은 발수 코팅 처리된 폴리에스터로 제작되었다. 어깨끈 내부에 삽입된 고탄성 서스펜션 벨트는 사용자가 걸을 때 하중의 일부를 상쇄한다. 이 벨트는 고탄성 섬유를 직조하고 봉제하여 만들어졌으며, 압축과 신장을 통해 힘을 흡수하고 분산시킨다. 서스펜션 시스템은 장시간 착용 시 등과 척추에 전달되는 진동을 감소시킨다. 백팩의 크기는 310 × 140 × 420밀리미터이다.

고유 특성: The Weight Loss Master PRO can be used for daily business commuting and business trips. One of the features that stand it out is excellent weight reducing technology. The high elastic suspension belt in the shoulder straps counteracts the backpack weight endured by user when walking. In this manner, the backpack can be suspended in a dynamic way. Even in case of long-time carrying of heavy loads, it can effectively protect the user's spine health, reduce shoulder and neck pain, and deliver the body a reasonably comfortable experience.

생산 기술: The exterior part of the backpack is crafted from polyester with a water-resistant coating to provide waterproofing feature. The lining is made of polyester, also with a waterproof coating. The high elastic suspension belt is constructed from high elastic fibers that are woven and sewn.
디자인 과제: In the design stage, it was challenging to identify an appropriate measure of elasticity of the elastic fibers and select a suitable high elastic material. The designer has to consider a proper extent of weight load on back that keeps the suspension device reasonably reducing weight under normal condition and yields an appropriate level of elasticity depending on specific loads, and the material used should be elastic and durable enough to mitigate the impacts of loads, but not too elastic, failing which the backpack may be unstable.
연구: As medical expert recommended that the weight loading on back should not exceed 10-15% of body weight, a standard laid down for the sake of protecting spinal health and preventing back injuries. The attempt to carry a load exceeding the reasonable value may impose undue pressure and burden on the back and spine, as this may cause discomfort, pain or even injury.
영감: The high elastic suspension belt is inspired by automobile air suspension technology, and both resemble in principle and function. The air suspension features an air pressure adjustment system that automatically adjusts the height and stiffness of the suspension, in order to deliver a stable driving experience. In like manner, the weight-reducing, high-stiffness suspension straps can diminish the vibration transferred from the backpack and eases the impact on the user's back and spine when user is walking, which means a comfortable carrying experience.
프로젝트 기간: The project kicked off in February 2023 in Quanzhou, Fujian. With deep-going communication about the product with user, three modifications have been made for product structure and design. Finally the product development and testing wrapped up in December 2023.
운영 흐름: The high elastic suspension device absorbs the weight of the backpack and spreads the force by compression and stretching when user walks with it on his back, thus reducing the impact on the back and spine. The elastic fibers or materials disposed in the device can cushion vibration and make adaptive adjustment as the loading force changes, and continuously reduce weight and give a comfortable experience.
