Provocatio Designandi: After having long complex research about the similarities between Venice in Italy and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia in different aspect such as the geographical, cultural, historical,..etc. The result need to have Venice with its luxurious parties where they should wear mask to hide their identities as the main concept of this cafe but in a very unique and creative way.
Investigatio: There was a challenge in having the Italian masks in the local market. The cafe opening was delayed until receiving them from Italy as it's considered one of the main design elements on the interior. However, it was worth to be waiting for it because it is used as background for photos taken by visitors.
Inspiratio: After visiting the most beautiful city in Italy, Venice, during the Venice Carnival, one of the biggest events in Italy. I've found that the masks - the perfect attribute - make the Venetian Carnival unique from other famous Italian carnivals.
So, I decided that the mask would be the main concept for this coffee shop project.
