Inspiratioun: Pixiu is an auspicious creature in Chinese mythology, revered and loved for its power to draw in fortune and ward off evil. Traditionally crafted as ornaments or accessories, it embodies wishes for prosperity and safety. By drawing on the lively expressions of the Jade Pixiu of the Han Dynasty, the piece breathes new life into the ancient mythical creature for contemporary wearers through modern design language and fine jewelry craftsmanship.
Projetdauer: Designed and developed in Beijing in January 2024, the product was launched in China in June 2024.
Operatiounsablaf: The round eyes of Pixiu operate through a gravity lever mechanism, allowing the eyes to open and close with the movement of the wearer, symbolizing eyes open to attract wealth, eyes closed to safeguard wealth. The ingot shaped ears with a rebound structure move with a gentle touch, adding a playful charm. Joined using clamping technique, the two gold cash coins can be flipped with fingertips. The large gold cash coin at the bottom can rotate 360 degrees, creating a wealth in hand effect.
