Mō Home of Memories Te Hoahoa Rūma o Roto mō te Kāinga Noho

Ko Home of Memories he hoahoa rūma o roto mō tētahi kāinga 115 mita pūrua i te Tāone o Hsinchu, Taiwan. Ko tētahi pakitara katoa o ngā kāpata kei te tomokanga hei pupuri i ngā hū, ngā pukapuka me ngā taonga whakamaharatanga o ngā haerenga. Ka noho tahi te rūma noho, te rūma kai me te rūma ako i roto i te wāhi tuwhera kotahi.

Āhuatanga Motuhake
By reversing the layout of the living room and adjusting the original four bedrooms to three bedrooms, the width of the living room was increased. The concept of the TV wall was also broken, and a photo wall was used as the main visual element, showing the owner's travel memories, more like a large art exhibition space. The original TV wall was also changed in direction to combine with the dining table, creating a unique new space.

Starting from the entrance, a whole wall of storage cabinets serves as a shoe cabinet, bookcase, and display case for travel souvenirs. Stretching horizontally, it creates a sense of spatial extension. The use of materials of varying sizes and textures creates a variety and enriches the wall's expression. The elevated walkway by the window not only provides direct access to the master bedroom, but also serves as a children's play area and a place to appreciate the changes in nature as the sun sets.

he biggest challenge was presenting the photo wall, showcasing the collection of memories. The designer employed varying materials and colors to create visual variety, employing wood veneer and stone in irregularly scaled arrangements. Interspersed throughout were the male homeowner's photographs, which can be changed. Light strips flanked the walls, enhancing the overall display. The walls, instead of just the photos, appear to be works of art; the entire wall itself appears to be a large-scale work of art.
Rangahau
The homeowners wanted a place where they could completely relax upon returning home, so they demolished a room to enlarge both the living room and master bedroom. Glass sliding doors in the kitchen block out fumes, enhance the sense of perspective, and create a sense of spaciousness. A wall of cabinets leading into the entrance adds storage space. The use of different materials, such as wood and stone, on the walls and tabletops creates a visually varied experience.
Whakaaweawe
The homeowner, a travel and photography enthusiast, has a vast collection of photographs but has never shared them on social media. Seeing so many large photos inspired the designer to create a photo wall. Unlike the typical main wall, where a television is placed, this wall features photographs of various sizes, creating a visual focal point and filled with beautiful memories of the homeowner's family's international travels. The photos can also be swapped out to create different scenes.

Focusing on recreational diversity, the design reduced one room to expand the shared living space. The living room, dining room, and study are all within the same space, creating a smooth flow of movement while maintaining the functionality of each space and providing a space for the families to spend time together. Besides transforming the main wall into a display for the owner's photography, the TV's position was also changed to integrate with the dining table, eliminating concerns about glare and increasing the space's potential.
