Tokumitsu Taanto सार्वजनिक स्वच्छतागृह अंतर्गत रचना बद्दल
तोकुमित्सु तान्तो हे जपानमधील इशिकावा येथील हाकुसान शहरातील एक सार्वजनिक स्वच्छतागृहाची अंतर्गत रचना आहे. या खोलीचे क्षेत्रफळ २५ चौरस मीटर असून छताची उंची २.९० मीटर आहे. भिंतींवर ३,००० हून अधिक सुवर्णपत्र (गोल्ड लीफ) टाइल्स लावलेल्या आहेत. प्रत्येक टाइल ही २०० मिलिमीटर चौरस आकाराची पोर्सिलेन टाइल असून तिच्या पृष्ठभागावर पोत आहे आणि त्यावर हाताने कानाझावा सुवर्णपत्र लावून सजावट केली आहे. या टाइल्स गडद पार्श्वभूमीवर बसवल्या असून सोन्याचा परावर्तक गुणधर्म उठून दिसावा यासाठी अप्रत्यक्ष प्रकाशयोजना केली आहे. या रचनेत पारंपरिक जपानी हस्तकलेचा समकालीन सार्वजनिक जागेत उपयोग केला आहे.

- The Golden Restroom at Hakusan Gateway Tokumitsu TaanTo is a one-of-a-kind interior space featuring Kanazawa gold leaf, a traditional Japanese craft. Over 3,000 gold leaf tiles adorn the walls, shifting in appearance with changing light. Set against a dark backdrop, indirect lighting accentuates the golden glow, creating a surreal experience akin to a luminous chamber floating in space.
