The app connects to both your WiFi network and to the machine. The app allows users to download digital recipes from coffee bags scanned from the Spinn marketplace. These recipes are customizable by customers and can be saved.

The challenge was threefold. Firstly, in creating a machine that marries science with the art of brewing as the coffee maker processes each parameter of a coffee serving. Secondly, unlocking a coffee bean's potential through a unique brewing technology, allowing both espresso and filter coffee to be made with the same beans and same machine. Thirdly, to create a connected marketplace of local roasters that upload digital recipes and have their beans delivered using a subscription method connected to our users.
