Over Samsung Bot Chef Keuken Robotarm

Samsung Bot Chef is een robotarm-concept ontworpen voor gebruik in de huiselijke keuken. De arm werkt samen met mensen om maaltijden te snijden, roeren, kruiden en koken. Eenvoudige spraakopdrachten begeleiden elke stap. Dankzij natuurlijke taalverwerking kunnen gewone recepten worden gelezen en begrepen, en worden taken toegewezen aan zowel de arm als de kok. Sensoren maken het mogelijk om handvatten stevig vast te pakken voor het roeren of kloppen en om een sausfles zachtjes samen te knijpen. Er wordt gebruikgemaakt van alledaags keukengereedschap en keukengerei. De slanke behuizing meet 90 bij 90 bij 1200 millimeter wanneer volledig uitgestrekt.

Onderzoek: According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, women and men spend over 1 hour a day in food and drink preparation and kitchen work. These activities involve several tedious, time-consuming and repetitive tasks. How might we help people regain precious quality time in their day by bringing advances in automation and robotics to the home environment?
Inspiratie: Bot Chef was inspired by our love of cooking, and the desire to make meal preparation a more enjoyable and rewarding experience for both home cooks and professional chefs. Kitchen work and food preparation involves several tedious, time-consuming and repetitive tasks, and everyone could use an "extra hand" in the kitchen. Our innovative hardware and software brings cutting edge advances in robotics and automation to the home in an aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly form-factor.
Projectduur: This project has been under development since August 2018, and been showcased at numerous trade events such as KBIS 2019, IFA 2019, and CES 2020.
Werkproces: Bot Chef can understand and respond to simple voice commands from the user. Through advanced natural language processing, Bot Chef can read, understand, and assign tasks to itself and the human chef in regular recipes. Sensors allow it to grasp handles firmly to stir or whisk, and also gently squeeze a bottle of sauce. Need to change up the recipe? It's as easy as saying "Hey Bot Chef, add some Sriracha!"
