Over Vultura Polshorloge

Vultura is een polshorloge met een kast die de vorm van de vulva volgt. De kast is noch rond noch vierkant, en de asymmetrische contour is ontleend aan illustratie- en beeldhouwwerk. De kroon doet denken aan de clitoris, terwijl de wijzerplaat de innerlijke vorm van de vulva suggereert. Twee V-vormige wijzers geven de tijd aan. De kast meet 26 millimeter in breedte, 36 millimeter in hoogte en 6 millimeter in diepte. De kast is vervaardigd uit 316L-staal, met gehard mineraalglas en een roestvrijstalen mesh-band. Vultura-horloges worden in Frankrijk gemaakt en geassembleerd.

Unieke Eigenschappen: The concept of the Vultura Watch is represented by an extraordinary watch shape and a groundbreaking design. The futuristic aesthetic exposes the vulva by highlighting the invisible part of the clitoris. The clitoris is shaped as a crown, the dial reveals the inside of the vulva: the vulval lips. They are visible, prominent, and asymmetrical, challenging traditional depictions of the vulva. Welcome to the modern era, where the Vultura leads our future journey.

Productietechnologie: Vultura watches are manufactured and assembled in France. This ensures the quality of the products and the promotion of European know-how. Excellent product management has made it possible to set an attractive market price for a designer watch, despite the fact that it is "Made in France", making the Vultura watch accessible to everyone. Thus, the mission of the watch is carried not only in the design but also in the price.
Ontwerpuitdaging: What was a challenge was the feasibility of the watches and the watch cases. The unique and asymmetric shape of the watch was a real challenge and the exchanges with our suppliers were long. Indeed, if you look in detail at the case, you can see that the shape of it is pretty hard to manufacture. We had to convey our idea of the unique design of our Vultura collection and we had to make two final prototypes to get exactly what we wanted.
Onderzoek: The watch design was considered a work of art from the outset, which is intended to impress with its 3D elements and unusual shape.

The creation process of the watch started with 2D illustrations and digital 3D animations. The design was then tested by 3D printing and finally finalized with two steel prototypes. As a result, the Vultura watch is now not only unique in its appearance but also particularly high quality in detail.
Inspiratie: The creation of the watch collection, which is neither round nor square, follows the philosophy of the brand Nepto, founded by Vincent Ifrah. The unique shape of the Vultura watch was designed by Cecilie Bluthardt, Vincent Ifrah, Ellebasi Gebhardt, Claire Denelle and is inspired by Cecilie Bluthardt's digital illustration artwork "Colorful Vulvae" and Ellebasi Gebhardt's sculptures, the "Clitlets".
Projectduur: The project started in 2021 and ended up in 2023. We were able to distribute it at the beginning of the year 2024. It is now online on Zalando, Ocarat, and our e-platforms.
Werkproces: Let yourself be charmed by this unique design and opt for the Vultura Onyx timepieces, which will be your ally for everyday wear as well as for prestigious evenings out. Thanks to its bezel, delicate shape and fluid dial, it is instantly recognisable, adding a touch of originality that will make your look exceptional. The delightful dial features different shades of black sublimated by fine gold lines. It blends perfectly with the rest of the watch. At its centre are two V-shaped hands, a reminder of the ‘vulva’ inspiration and the Vultura brand.
