Over Hope Tafellamp

Hope is een tafellamp die traditioneel keramisch ambacht combineert met moderne LED-verlichting. De behuizing is gemaakt van natuurlijk keramiek, gevormd volgens beproefde methoden, en is samengevoegd met een metalen frame en een acrylaat diffuser. Een geïntegreerd LED-paneel zorgt voor een krachtige lichtopbrengst die geschikt is voor werkplekken. De helderheid wordt geregeld door een metalen bol aan te raken, waardoor de lamp ook kan dienen als nachtlamp of als decoratief object. Twee verwisselbare afwerkingen van de bol, chroom en messing, worden meegeleverd. De lamp meet 355 mm in hoogte, 260 mm in breedte en 84 mm in diepte.

Unieke Eigenschappen: This table lamp seamlessly combines ancient ceramic craftsmanship with modern LED technology. Crafted from natural ceramic using traditional methods, it features powerful integrated LEDs suitable for workspace illumination. The lamp offers dimmable functionality controlled by a touch-sensitive metal orb, with two interchangeable finishes — chrome and brass — included in the package, creating a perfect blend of art and technology.
Afmetingen & Verpakking: The lamp measures 355 mm in height, 260 mm in width, and 84 mm in depth. The design combines ceramic elements, metal framework, and an acrylic diffuser with integrated LED lighting. It features a dimmable metal ball control in chrome or brass finish.

Ontwerpuitdaging: The search for a new form was inspired by the study of ancient ceramics, which later evolved into an interest in ancient sculpture. This creative journey led to the development of a table lamp featuring the graceful silhouette reminiscent of the femininity found in classical antiquities.
The design draws inspiration from the aesthetics of ancient sculptures, capturing their timeless elegance. The choice of colors and materials was influenced by the hues of the Mediterranean region — the birthplace of various ancient cultures. This connection to the Mediterranean palette adds authenticity and cultural depth to the lamp’s overall design.
Onderzoek: The main technical challenge of the project was solving complex production issues. The key difficulty lay in creating ceramic molds and developing precise production processes to prevent defects and deformation during firing.
Special attention was paid to perfecting the assembly process of all components. Another critical aspect was calculating the LED power to ensure effective illumination even within deep ceramic elements, making the lamp functional for various lighting tasks.
Inspiratie: The name Hope, symbolizing optimism and progress, perfectly captures the essence of this innovative lighting collection. Serving as the foundation of human civilization, hope drives us forward, inspiring new creations. At the heart of the collection lies natural ceramics — a material proven by millennia of use. Each lamp seamlessly blends ancient traditions with contemporary design aesthetics.
Projectduur: The project was initiated in June 2025 in Moscow, Russia, and successfully implemented in November 2025 in Guangzhou, China.
Werkproces: This table lamp features a powerful LED circuit board inside, producing a strong luminous flux that makes it perfect for workspaces. Thanks to its dimming function, the lamp can also serve as a night light or decorative element, providing flexible lighting options for different purposes.
