Coral ndi poti ya tiyi yopangidwa ndi manja yolimbikitsidwa ndi mawonekedwe ndi kachitidwe kovuta ka nyanga za m'nyanja. Chogwirira chimodzi chimalola kuti poti igwiridwe mbali zonse, kuchokera pamwamba, kumanzere kapena kumanja, kusonyeza njira zambiri zomwe zikhalidwe zosiyanasiyana zimagwiritsira ntchito poti ya tiyi. Kagawo kobowoka kumbuyo kwa thupi kumalola kuti poti igwiridwe ndi kukwezedwa. Kapangidwe ka chivindikiro chikaphatikizidwa mu chogwirira, kotero kuti mizere ikuyenda mozungulira mawonekedwe onse. Coral yapangidwa ndi dothi lomangidwa mwa kupindirira, losinthidwa, losemedwa ndi lokhala ndi kachitidwe, lomalizidwa ndi utoto wa shino ndi kuwotchedwa mu njira ya oxidation.

Coral Poti ya tiyi ndi mmodzi mwa opambana a Mphoto ya Siliva ya A' Design Award, kuzindikirika kolemekezeka modabwitsa komwe kumaperekedwa kwa mapangidwe a pamwamba, okongola ndi ochititsa chidwi. Opambana a Siliva ndi ntchito zowala kwambiri ndi zolenga kwambiri zomwe zimaonetsa ukatswiri, luso ndi nzeru zakuthwa za opanga awo. Coral Poti ya tiyi akuyembekezeka kukhala ntchito yodabwitsa yoonetsedwa, yaukatswiri wapadera ndi yatsopano kwambiri. Mapangidwe opambana Mphoto ya Siliva ya A' Design Award awa ndi chopangidwa chodziwika kwambiri ndi choyamikiridwa chomwe chimapindulitsa ndi kukulitsa malire a luso, sayansi, kapangidwe ndi ukadaulo. Coral Poti ya tiyi ndi cholengedwa chomwe anthu ambiri amachichitira nsanje, chomwe chimadzutsa zilakolako, kubweretsa maganizo abwino ndi kuyatsa kudabwa ndi chidwi.

Makhalidwe Apadera: Coral-inspired, this teapot has a single handle that effectively encompasses handling the teapot from all directions (overhead, left or right) and is inclusive of the myriad of ways different cultures handle a teapot. The indent at the back of the pot allows the pot to be pinched and lifted. Incorporating the lid's design into the handle, the lines of the teapot pleasingly flows around the whole form.

Teknoloji Yopangira: Coil-constructed, altered, carved and textured earthenware; shino glaze, oxidation fired (1200°C)
Vuto la Dizayini: The most challenging part was constructing the handle. Clay being a soft and malleable material prior firing made it difficult to maintain and keep the overhead handle in position. The highly intricate coral texture of the teapot also required a lot of meticulous work.
Chilimbikitso: As a child, I loved visiting the beach with my family. Picking seashells and exploring the corals that were washed on the shores was my favourite pastime. Memories of these happy moments have always stayed firmly with me. Inspired by the intricacy and elegant details on corals, I created the series "Coral - Rhythm of the Seas", to commemorate the wonderful times of my childhood.
Nthawi ya Polojekiti: Started in January 2013 and finished in February 2013.
Mdondomeko ya Ntchito: With its single handle, this teapot can effectively be handled from all directions (overhead, left or right). It embraces a culturally myriad of ways of handling a teapot.
