X Skier to kask narciarski zaprojektowany w celu zwiększenia bezpieczeństwa na stokach. Narciarze jadący za innymi nie widzą, w którą stronę zamierza skręcić osoba jadąca przed nimi, a nagłe zmiany kierunku mogą prowadzić do kolizji. X Skier eliminuje to ryzyko za pomocą czujnika ruchu i wskaźnika kierunku umieszczonego na tyle kaska, który sygnalizuje skręt poprzez zmianę jasności, położenia i koloru. Nieprawidłowa prędkość lub kierunek jazdy aktywują sygnał ostrzegawczy. Urządzenie Bluetooth umieszczone w bocznej części kaska, w okolicy ucha, umożliwia obsługę muzyki, prowadzenie rozmów telefonicznych oraz wykonywanie połączeń alarmowych za pomocą metalowego przycisku.

Unikalne Cechy: After interviewing 50 ski enthusiasts, a severe painpoint about skiing experience and safety concerns was found.
When people ski, the skiers in the back cannot see the skiers' direction in front. Sometimes the sudden change of direction makes it easy for two skiers to collide. So a smart ski helmet with a power sensor indicator was designed. When the user tends to move left and right, the indicator light on the back will automatically indicate the direction to the skier in the back, and then they can avoid a collision in time.

Czas Trwania Projektu: The project started in December 2018 in LAFA Industrial Design Studio and finished in May 2020 in the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Industrial Design in LAFA.
Przebieg Działania: X-Skier is an outdoor ski helmet that combines recreation and safety protection. The side ear is equipped with bluetooth communication device. Users can press the metal button in the ear to play or pause music, make phone calls and make emergency calls if necessary. The direction indicator in the rear can effectively remind the skiers behind or on the skier's side of the user's direction by changing the brightness, position, and color, preventing a collision. If the user's speed or direction is very abnormal, the rear indicator will issue an abnormal warning. Indicator light color and flashing frequency enter the emergency state. Ear Bluetooth communication device automatically alarm to ensure the safety of users.
