O projekcie Beyond Lusterko do ręki

Beyond to lusterko do ręki inspirowane lusterkiem bocznym samochodu. Lusterko boczne pomaga kierowcy dostrzec obszary wykraczające poza normalne pole widzenia, a Beyond niesie na powierzchni lustra napis Jesteś czymś więcej, niż się wydajesz. Fraza ta zachęca ludzi do zastanowienia się nad swoim wewnętrznym pięknem, wykraczającym poza wygląd zewnętrzny. Korpus wykonano z drewna jesionowego z wykończeniem mydlanym, a lustro to arkusz akrylowy uformowany metodą cięcia laserowego i oznaczony tekstem. Zaokrąglony tył zapewnia delikatne odczucie w dłoni, a lustro jest lekko wpuszczone w drewnianą ramę, co chroni je, gdy przedmiot odkłada się lustrem do dołu.

Za kulisami projektu

Pakiet prasowy

Autorzy, członkowie zespołu i szczegóły techniczne podane przez projektanta.

Unikalne Cechy: It is a hand mirror inspired by a wing mirror. Like a phrase on the wing mirror 'Objects in mirror are closer than they appear', a phrase 'You are more than you appear' is marked on the surface of the mirror. It takes people to think about their own beauty inside beyond their appearance. With a generous volume shape on the back, it gives a gentle feeling when they are in hand. The mirror is placed slightly inside so it is protected by a wood rim when it is turned over.
Wymiary i Opakowanie: 96 × 69 x 25 mm
Tagi: Hand mirror, Mirror, Ash, Object, Design, Industrial Design
Technologia Produkcji: It consists of two parts. The wood part is ashwood with a soap finish and the mirror part is an acrylic mirror with laser cutting and text marking.
Wyzwanie Projektowe: It was challenging to create a simple and concise phrase transition from the original one while keeping its essence. It also took a long journey to find a satisfactory volume shape in both situations when gripped by hand and placed on the table. After all, those challenges allowed me to go further than I expected.
Badania: As this hand mirror is linked to the wing mirror of the car, I tried to find the most general characteristic of the wing mirror. Afterward, the shape was refined through the iteration of sketches and model making.
Inspiracja: One time I got into a car, a wing mirror caught my eye. It helps the driver to see areas beyond the driver’s peripheral vision. I wondered what if a hand mirror also can reflect beyond our appearance.
Czas Trwania Projektu: The project started in July 2020 and finished in January 2021 in Seoul.
Przebieg Działania: The ash wood gives natural warmth and lightweight on hand with shock resisting density and hardness.
