O projekcie Cotton Spate Konsola Wystawiennicza
Cotton Spate to konsola wystawiennicza zaprojektowana na potrzeby sklepu typu pop-up. Konsola prezentuje niewielką liczbę produktów, dzięki czemu uwaga skupia się na każdym z eksponowanych przedmiotów. Jej forma inspirowana jest polami organicznej bawełny Pima, która rośnie nad jeziorem w Peru. Biała, trójwymiarowa, falująca powierzchnia utrzymuje cienkie okrągłe metalowe płytki, na których umieszczone są przedmioty. Falująca część wykonana jest z pianki o wysokiej gęstości, ukształtowanej ręcznie na podstawie modelu komputerowego, natomiast płytki wykonano z malowanego na biało metalu. Blat oraz zewnętrzna obudowa wykonane są z drewna. Pod falującą powierzchnią znajduje się przestrzeń do przechowywania.

- Unikalne Cechy
- The typical pop-up store console place too many products that the customer loses their interest in those products immediately when they see the messy condition. However, the Cotton Spate minimizes the amount to emphasize the importance of products by the purity.

- Technologia Produkcji
- The wavy material is high-density foam and crafted by hand by referencing a three-dimensional computer model. The circular surface is white painted metal inserted into the high-density foam. The counter and outside enclosure of the console is crafted by the carpenter with wood.
- Wyzwanie Projektowe
- The hardest part of this project is to compose the right material and tools for archiving a three-dimensional surface portion due to the budget limitation. Usually, the best ways to compose such a design, it is best to utilize CNC digital fabrication, however, it costs too much for this pop-up shelf. In the end, the attentive solution is to incorporate other industry master craftsmen to cut the high-density foam by hand by referencing the computer model.
- Badania
- The main objective of this project is to find the most efficient ways to craft a three-dimensional surface by choosing the right material and crafting tools. By incorporating other industry skills, the design archive the minimum expanse to assemble the shelf.
- Inspiracja
- The inspiration for the design is the filed of organic Pima cotton flower which the brand exclusively used for its product. The Pima cotton flower grows by the lake in Peru and it creates a strong impression of purity. The shelf incorporates the identity of the brand by creating a white three-dimensional wavy surface and host circular thin metal plates to present their items.
- Czas Trwania Projektu
- The design phase started in July, finished construction in September and opened to the public on October 2019.
- Przebieg Działania
- The customer accesses from the front side to the items, while the store operator stands behind the counter. There is also storage space underneath of wavy surface console to keep their stock for sales.
