Mia é uma bolsa dobrável para gatos, concebida para utilização em casa e ao ar livre. A Mia abre-se rapidamente, transformando-se numa cama para gatos com 460 mm de largura, profundidade e altura. Quando dobrada, a Mia tem apenas 80 mm de espessura e pode ser guardada como um livro. A estrutura dobrável é feita em papel DuPont e cartão reciclado, materiais selecionados por razões ambientais. As peças de desgaste substituíveis permitem uma limpeza e manutenção fáceis. O aspeto semelhante ao de um livro adapta-se aos interiores domésticos. A Mia reduz o espaço necessário para transportar e armazenar os acessórios de viagem para animais de estimação.

Combined with the malleable structure of organ paper, FurBallRetreat enables you to easily unfold it when using, creating a comfortable and safe hidden space for your cat to enjoy the outdoor fun and, at the same time, get some rest in a familiar environment.

Tecnologia de Produção: FurBallRetreat is crafted from environmentally friendly materials such as Dupont paper and recycled board, with full consideration given to environmental friendliness. The detachable property of DuPont paper enables it to contract flexibly, creating an extremely convenient product. This design not only emphasizes practicality and portability but also reflects a concern and commitment to sustainability.
Desafio de Design: One of the greatest challenges we encountered during the implementation and research process was ensuring the compatibility of the FurBallRetreat between home and outdoor spaces. We strive to ensure that people do not have to occupy more space to accommodate the cat bag, and hope that FurBallRetreat will not only solve the problem of carrying the cat bag but also integrate into family life. At the same time, more environmentally friendly materials used in the design of cat nests are researched.
Pesquisa: We surveyed 500 cat owners and discovered that 83% of them carry a cat bag when going out with their cat, while only 12% do not. This indicates that carrying a cat bag is a common phenomenon. However, the cat bag occupies a large space and its storage when not in use is also a problem. In response to this challenge, we designed a portable cat bag for home, aiming to solve the problem of idleness, reduce storage space, make it easy to carry, and provide cats with more security. At the same time, more environmentally friendly materials are selected and matched.
Inspiração: When traveling or engaging in outdoor activities with cats, it is often necessary to address the issue of carrying pet outdoor supplies that take up a lot of space. This not only adds to the burden of the owner but also brings the trouble of storing idle items at home. In response to the challenges that families and cats encounter when traveling together, we explored how to design more portable cat shelters, aiming to provide a more convenient and flexible solution.
Duração do Projeto: The project started in Shenzhen in March 2024 and completed in Shenzhen in June 2024.
Fluxo de Operação: Whether you're in a garden, patio, or camping outdoors, FurBallRetreat can be set up quickly. When unfolded, it becomes a cat's bed that can be placed in any space, while when folded, it takes up only the thickness of a book. The use of replaceable wearing parts for easy cleaning and maintenance ensures that the living environment is always clean and hygienic.
