О дизайне Artika Horizon Наручные часы

Artika Horizon — наручные часы, которые также можно носить в кармане или на шее. Шнур на ремешке заменяет традиционные элементы ремешка, придавая часам простую и надёжную конструкцию. Ремешок фиксируется специальной клипсой, и эта клипса превращает часы в подвеску, которую можно повесить на шею или закрепить на одежде. Корпус выполнен из металла и имеет диаметр 43 мм при толщине 9 мм. Производство планируется методом аддитивных технологий или фрезерования с ЧПУ. Форма вдохновлена чёрной дырой и её горизонтом событий, а шнур символизирует пространство, искривляющееся вокруг времени.

Уникальные свойства: A wrist watch with a cord on the strap. The watch can be worn on the wrist, or as a stopwatch in a pocket or around the neck. Unlike conventional straps, the construction of Horizon watches is simpler and more reliable, there is literally nothing to break.

Исследование: The project started as part of a master's project and is part of a collaboration with the Barcelona-based design studio Anima. The task was to develop the concept of a wrist watch for the Artika brand. The main task of the project was to develop a watch that reflects the philosophy of Artik. Also, the idea of the project is the theme of space and time and an attempt to reflect them in the form of a wristwatch. Attempting to integrate the mataphor into both form and function is the basic idea.
Вдохновение: The Horizon watch is the final version of this project. This watches reflect the main ideas of the first iterations, which were inspired by the Black Hole and its event horizon, how space can bend under the influence of large forces. So in this watch - the cord symbolizes a space that bends around time beyond its control
Продолжительность проекта: The project started in September 2019 in St. Petersburg and ended in January 2020 in Saint-Petersburg
Рабочий процесс: The watch is put on the hand and pulled together with a special clip. This clip turns the watch into a pendant accessory that can be hung around the neck or tied to clothes. The crown is a separate piece due to its design. The crown is inserted into a special hole, after which the watch can be wound.
