Imeza y'uruhande ya Nikao ni igikoresho cyiza cy'amazu gishingiye ku gitekerezo cy'ubwihindurize bw'imiterere y'uruziga n'inkingi. Ibi bihindurwa kugira ngo bihuze n'ibidukikije n'imikorere runaka. Muri ubu buryo, akamaro n'imiterere birakemurwa mu gihe byubahe imiterere shingiro y'ibanze y'igice, kandi bikaba ikintu gisanzwe kandi gitoroshye. Nikao Imeza y'Uruhande ni uwegukanye Igihembo cya A' Design Award cya Ifeza, ishimwe ridasanzwe ry'agaciro gakomeye ritangwa ku bishushanyo byo ku rwego rwo hejuru, byiza kandi bikora ku mutima. Abegukanye Ifeza ni ibihangano by'ubuhanga bukomeye kandi bifite guhanga kwinshi, bigaragaza ubuhanga bwimbitse, impano n'ubushishozi bw'ababihanze. Nikao Imeza y'Uruhande biteganyijwe ko izaba igihangano cy'icyitegererezo, gifite ubunyamwuga bukomeye n'udushya twimbitse. Iki gishushanyo cyegukanye Ifeza ni igihangano kizwi kandi gishimwa, gifasha kugura imbibi z'ubuhanzi, ubumenyi, ubushushanyo n'ikoranabuhanga. Ibintu Bidasanzwe: Nikao Side Table is an elegant, daring and cutting edge piece of furniture based on an evolutionary concept or circular and cylindrical geometries, which are transformed in order to adapt to a certain environment and function. By doing so, both structure and utility are solved maintaining the original essence of the piece, and becoming a more complex and organic object.

Ikoranabuhanga ryo Guteza Imbere: The construction and manufacturing process equally combines technology and craftsmanship. High quality Iroko solid wood planks are machined three-dimensionally using a 5 axis CNC milling router, following a 3D drawing. Once the pieces are machined, these are glued and assembled one another by wood artisans obtaining the final shape and giving life to the object.
Ikibazo cy'Ishusho: I found specially challenging to achieve an organic, beautiful and eye-catching piece of furniture through its complex manufacturing process. It needs to be magnetic to the viewer. Technically, the great challenge was to model and CNC cut the wooden pieces with such a complex geometry.
Ubushakashatsi: When facing Nikao side table, I had nature and living forms as a reference and inspiration. The creative process consists of trying to emulate this evolutionary natural process through natural materials and give a function to it, in this case a side table. This experimental phase is developed through direct transformation exercises using everyday simple material such as plasticine or paper, and tools such as drawing and 3D software. Once the model is created, a prototype is manufactured and tested using CNC technology and wood craftsmanship.
Ibyatumye Habaho: When facing Nikao side table, I had nature and living forms as a reference and inspiration. Every curve and surface present in nature has a biological explanation related to a certain function over time, and these evolutionary transformations are my source of inspiration to create Nikao. The creative process consists of trying to emulate this natural process through natural materials and give a function to it, in this case a side table.
Igihe cy'Umushinga: The project started in February 2023 and finished in March 2023 in Madrid.
Uburyo bw'Imikorere: Nikao side table interacts with the observer in a natural way. The human eye is more used to curved lines and surfaces, they have always been present in nature, they surround us. That instinct lingers in our animal subconscious, and the soft, natural forms give us pleasure and tranquility. Its attractive shape, together with the warmth of the material, makes the user to come closer, touch it, sit next to it.
