"जालकम्" इति शब्दस्य अर्थः क्षैतिजतया लम्बतया च परस्परं संगुम्फिताः प्रतिच्छिन्नाश्च रेखाः इति। विशेषतः ताइवान्देशस्य उत्कृष्टलचीलतायुक्तस्य उच्चगुणवत्तासम्पन्नस्य वेणुकाष्ठस्य उपयोगः क्रियते, वेणूनां वक्रकाष्ठानां च वयनद्वारा वेणुशिल्पं काष्ठशिल्पे समन्वीयते। वेणूनां लचीलतां काष्ठस्य दृढतां च रक्षित्वा समन्वित्य, आसनस्य भारः केवलम् ४ किलोग्राम् एव भवति, परन्तु तत् १२० किलोग्रामात् अधिकं धारयितुं समर्थम्। लघुभारः वृद्धानां बालानां च कृते चलनं सुलभतरं करोति। एकपार्श्वस्थबाहुपट्टयोजनेन उपयोक्तारः विविधासु रीतिषु उपवेष्टुं शक्नुवन्ति, यत् अधिकस्वतन्त्रं लचीलं च अस्ति।
