अन्तरिक्षम् इति ग्रहाणां पृष्ठभागैः प्रेरितः एकः मेजदीपः अस्ति। एतस्मिन् दीपे मेजदीपाधारः, गोलाकारः आच्छादकः, ओ.एल.ई.डी.-दीपशरीरं च सन्ति। आच्छादकः काचफूत्कारप्रौद्योगिक्या निर्मितः, अतः प्रत्येकं खण्डं द्रव्यस्य विभिन्नघनत्वेन जनितां अद्वितीयां पृष्ठसंरचनां धारयति। प्रकाशः द्वाभ्यां प्रकाराभ्यां निर्गच्छति। एका उज्ज्वला किरणपुञ्जः गोलस्य रन्ध्रेण गत्वा अधोभागं प्रकाशयति, यदा च अनियमिता पारभासी संरचना मृदुं प्रभां विस्तारयति। यदा उपयोगे न भवति, तदा अन्तरिक्षम् अलङ्करणवस्तुरूपेणापि कार्यं करोति।
