ඉකාරුස් යනු වඳ වී ගිය හෝ දැඩි ලෙස වඳවීමේ තර්ජනයට ලක්ව ඇති විශේෂවලට අයත් සංරක්ෂිත පක්ෂි නියැදි පෙන්වන ඡායාරූප මාලාවකි. සෑම පක්ෂියෙකුම රෙම්බ්‍රාන්ට් සිතුවමක ආකාරයෙන් නිරූපණය කර ඇති අතර, සෑම නිරූපණයකම පසුබිම එම පක්ෂියාගේ පිහාටුවල මැක්‍රෝ ඡායාරූපයකි. මෙම නියැදි ජර්මනියේ ඩ්‍රෙස්ඩන් හි සෙන්කන්බර්ග් ආයතනයේ පක්ෂි විද්‍යා එකතුවේදී ඡායාරූප ගත කරන ලදී. මාතෘකාව මගින් ඉතා ඉහළින් පියාසර කර මුහුදට වැටුණු ඉකාරුස්ගේ ජනප්‍රවාදය පිළිබඳව සඳහන් කරයි. ඉකාරුස් යනු Neglect නමැති මාලා එකතුවක තෙවන කොටසයි. මෙම කෘති සීමිත සංස්කරණවලින් ChromaLuxe ද්‍රව්‍ය මත නිෂ්පාදනය කර ඇත.

Ikarus ඡායාරූප කලා නිර්මාණය යනු A' Design Award රිදී සම්මානය දිනූ නිර්මාණයකි; ඉහළම පෙළේ, සුන්දර සහ ආකර්ශනීය නිර්මාණ සඳහා පිරිනමන අසාමාන්‍ය ලෙස ගෞරවනීය පිළිගැනීමකි. රිදී ජයග්‍රාහී නිර්මාණ අතිශය දීප්තිමත් සහ ඉතා නිර්මාණශීලී කෘති වන අතර නිර්මාණකරුවන්ගේ විශිෂ්ට විශේෂඥතාව, දක්ෂතාව සහ සියුම් බුද්ධිය පෙන්වයි. Ikarus ඡායාරූප කලා නිර්මාණය විස්මයජනක, ආදර්ශවත්, ඉතා වෘත්තීය සහ ගැඹුරින් නවීන කෘතියක් වනු ඇතැයි අපේක්ෂා කෙරේ. - Here are photographed specimens of animals, most of whose species are extinct. For this series Dr. Martin Päckert, the head of the ornithology section of the Senckenberg Naturhistorische Sammlungen Dresden, he supported me very dedicated in my work.

- The challenge was to set the prepared birds in scene like in a Rembrandt painting. The background of the portraits is a macro-photography of the feathers of each bird.

- I found that in the collection of the Senckenberg Institute in Dresden the most rare examples of extinct bird species are collected.
From a project before I had the contacts to the institute and they immediately said yes, when I asked to photograph the examples for my project. Then Dr. Martin Päckert helped me a lot with the taxonomy and the names and the origin of the birds and the preparations. - ආශ්වාදනය
- We know the legend of Icarus, whose father Daedalus built wings of feathers and wax for himself and his son to escape from the captivity of Minos on Crete. The son Icarus became overconfident, the wax melted, he fell into the sea. Despite his father’s warnings.

- It took nearly a year of research and preparation, two days of shooting and around 2 weeks of post-production.
