O dizajnu Safety Pin Prstan

Safety Pin je prstan v obliki popolnoma funkcionalne varnostne sponke. Prstan sedi na treh prstih nosilca in ga je mogoče uporabiti tudi kot broško, obesek ali sponko. Safety Pin je izdelan iz 18-karatnega rumenega zlata in okrašen z večbarvnimi dragimi kamni skupne teže 2,09 karata, celotna teža nakita pa znaša 14,40 grama. Najprej je bil pripravljen 3D model, nato je bil natisnjen voščeni prototip in ulit v zlato. Ulitek je bil ročno dodelan in spoliran. Dragi kamni so bili vstavljeni na svoja mesta, nato pa so bili deli spojeni. Cilj oblikovanja je, da nakit ostane lahek, nosljiv in igriv.

Proizvodna tehnologija: Developed in the 3D Matrix program for the jewellery industry based on the Rhinoceros program, a 3D model was created. After the safety pin were grown by prototyping on a 3D printer from wax, the cast was made in gold. They were processed by hand and polished with jewellery threads, for the perfect shine of the gems and showing their cut, clarity and colour. After that, precious stones were fixed into the base product and only then the parts were connected into the final figurines.
Oblikovalski izziv: The number one challenge is to combine the design of the piece with its technical side while maintaining it lightweight, wearable and ergonomic.
Raziskave: Traditionally, jewellers have created static pieces for thousands of years. By adding movement to the jewellery I allow our pieces to come alive, inspired by the beauty of magic and nature. As a jeweller, my concept is to find ways to introduce kinetic effects and hidden secrets that are a unique joy to own.
Inspiracija: Invoking the magical wonderment of childhood, the Games collection fuses the fun with the fine. With their emphasis on actual play and irreverent references each piece has the dual purpose of encouraging daydreaming and lighthearted games
Trajanje projekta: The project started in January 2021 in London and finished in January 2022 in London. The overall process of production, improvements and quality check took about one year. These ring have never been exhibited before.
Potek delovanja: A Multifunctional Safety Pin ring can be transformed in to brooch, pendant or pin. Also, it could be stylised and worn on many occasions with additional charms.
