Rreth Bada Karrige

Bada është një karrige e projektuar për të nxitur ndryshime të rregullta në qëndrimin e uljes. Periudhat e gjata të uljes ushtrojnë presion shtesë mbi pjesën e poshtme të shpinës. Kur përdoruesi mbështetet në një qëndrim të përkulur, pllaka e uljes rrotullohet dhe krijon një pjerrësi prej rreth tetë gradësh. Trupi më pas rrëshqet ngadalë, kështu që përdoruesi nxitet të ulet sërish drejt. Trupi i karriges është prej lisi të bardhë masiv, ndërsa shufra lidhëse është prej çeliku inoksidabël. Format e lakuara shprehin rrotullimin dhe rrëshqitjen e uljes. Karrigia ka një gjerësi prej 500 mm, një thellësi prej 580 mm dhe një lartësi prej 750 mm.

Bada is a chair that allows its users to sit by changing their posture regularly through discomfort. Obviously, it is uncomfortable when the users’ sitting positions are changed involuntarily. However, on the other hand, this designed discomfort can keep them healthy and maintain the correct posture.

The crooked posture rotates the seat plate and creates an inclination. Hence, the inclination created by the rotation gradually lowers the user's position. This leaves the user no choice but to change their sitting posture.

Sfida e Dizajnit: The entire shape of the chair is designed in a way that the curves meet each other with a purpose to metaphorically express the process of the seat rotation leading to slope and sliding.It was particularly difficult because it was the first time to make a chair using wood, and there were many trials and errors because it was possible to make a form only by knowing the properties of the material.
Kërkimi: We needed to figure out the appropriate slope to make the posture uncomfortable when the posture is bent, although it is usually not uncomfortable. We found an appropriate slope while producing prototypes using isopink and prototypes using wood.Based on the seat with a height of W450 mm × D450 mm × H450 mm, the slope of 8 degrees was judged to be the most appropriate and the result was significant.
Frymëzimi: The increasing sitting time

Modern people spend a lot of time sitting everyday. Compared to the standing position, sitting down on the chair causes twice the pressure on the lower back, which is a major cause of lumbar disk disease(herniated disks). During COVID-19, as the time spent at home increased, sitting for a long time has become a routine. To avoid sitting on a chair for an extended period of time with a sloppy posture, a change in your sitting posture periodically is needed.

As the users’ sitting positions turn into a bad posture, their bodies will slide slowly, then they will be forced to change their posture. As a result, the designed discomfort feeling is able to help the users stay in a healthy and correct sitting posture.
