Phephetso ya Moralo: The challenge was to find a balance between beautiful shape and strength. We have come up with all kinds of patterns while predicting how it will be used and how it will flow.
Dipatlisiso: It was an emotional formative research based on Japanese culture. In addition to being used for multiple purposes, we thought of a beautiful design that would become a symbol of the space, and a system that would fit in with daily life. When designing the product, we paid close attention to the emotions of the users, and were conscious of the way it would be used in daily life. We considered the size based on ergonomics while searching for a beautiful balance of shape.
Kgothaletso: This table was inspired by Japanese floor sitting culture. In Japan, there is a low table called Chabudai that is used to sit on the floor. The Chabudai is a type of furniture that is familiar to Japanese people, as it can be used to gather around the dining table or for hobby purposes. In response to changes in the way people gather and spend their time due to the coronavirus pandemic, we came up with a new table shape.
